Here, simply for historical purposes, is a sprinkling of past work. While I have chosen at this point in my life to work with brushes and paint, it was not always so. For most of my adult life, I have rendered a variety of subjects in graphite pencil, colored pencil and pen and ink. The details were an enjoyable part of the work. Prismacolor Pencil.....
Graphite Pencil.....
Pen and Ink.....
Gouache..... My initial foray into painting with gouache was a natural extension of rendering so many faces in other media. These were some of the first experiments with gouache, and with learning to use brushes. Carrying this into painting the landscape has proven to be a greater challenge than I ever imagined.
